In addition to the new offerings, it was announced that existing services currently being offered will be expanded over the next year including:

HSHS St. Elizabeth’s Hospital Imaging Services and Outpatient Therapy clinic will continue to serve patients at their current location, as well.
“We know the key to having a healthy community is to have access to health services within the communities you live,” said Larry McCulley, SIHF Healthcare CEO. “We focus our care and health services to deliver affordable and convenient health for all through our 40 health centers located throughout the Metro-East, southern, and eastern Illinois where individuals and families need it most.”
The new SIHF Healthcare Center will become a significant integrated health location for the Belleville region that builds on the proven primary care services model that SIHF has been expanding for the last four decades.
“We have not only opened new health centers in neighborhoods that need access to healthcare, but we have recruited some of the most respected and committed providers to join our team to practice medicine in the communities we serve,” said Ethel Manager, SIHF Board President.
The new center follows the emerging model across the United States of providing primary and specialty outpatient care that brings the family back into family medicine.
“I joined SIHF Healthcare two years ago so that I could provide my patients with the type of care I would give my own family,” said James Wade, MD. “SIHF removes the barriers and red tape for physicians and our patients. It’s common-sense care that says, if you’re sick, we will see you today and we will get you the help you need.”
SIHF also plans to add more physicians, specialists, nurses, and medical staff to their team creating a workforce of over 640 individuals.
“The investment SIHF is making in transforming this health center into a thriving medical destination is exactly what our city needs,” said Patty Gregory, Mayor of Belleville. “Not only will it provide top notch health services but also help our local downtown businesses as the patients and employees of SIHF eat, shop and enjoy our city."
The renovations will begin in the Spring of 2025 with total completion slated for the Fall of 2026. The existing services will be open during construction including the Imaging Center and Physical Therapy services currently being operated by HSHS St. Elizabeth’s Hospital.
“HSHS has a strong collaborative relationship with SIHF Healthcare at not only the Belleville Campus but also at our O’Fallon Campus where they provide primary and behavioral health services,” said Chris Klay, HSHS Southern Illinois Market President and CEO. “Together, our team will continue to collaborate with SIHF to enhance accessible, compassionate care, ensuring that the Southwestern Illinois community receives high quality services.”
In 2025, SIHF Healthcare is celebrating 40 years of delivering access to quality care to individuals and families across the 40 health centers located in 25 cities in southern and eastern Illinois. To learn more visit sihf.org.
