SIHF Healthcare, in partnership with Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Illinois, to Give Away Turkeys on Thursday, November 9
Centreville, IL., November 8, 2023 – SIHF Healthcare, a leader in providing comprehensive health care services, is partnering with Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Illinois and other Managed Care Organizations to host a remarkable Thanksgiving initiative. To share the spirit of the holiday season and foster a sense of community, SIHF Healthcare will be giving away turkeys on Thursday, November 9 at SIHF Healthcare in Centreville located at 6000 Bond Avenue, Centreville, IL 62207.
The turkey giveaway will commence at 11:30 am and continue until all the turkeys have found a new home. We encourage early arrival, as the event is based on the principle of 'first come, first serve.'
"This event demonstrates our commitment to ensure individuals have the resources they need to connect them to health and supportive services, addressing both Health Equity and Social Determinants of Health," said Patrice Howard, Senior Vice President at SIHF Healthcare. "We are excited and grateful to partner with BCBS, along with other MCO and Healthcare Transformation Collaborative partners, on this initiative.”
This event also serves as an opportunity for us to provide information about the various health care services SIHF Healthcare offers, ensuring our community members are aware of and have access to the medical resources they need. SIHF Healthcare will have a mobile health unit available offering blood pressure and glucose checks, as well as flu and COVID vaccines.
As we take measures to reduce disparities and promote health, SIHF Healthcare believes in the power of giving back. It is not only about healthcare; it's about supporting one another and creating a community that cares.
